Institution of Fire Engineers

The Institution of Fire Engineers is the professional body for fire safety professionals in the UK and Internationally. Cantwell Keogh & Associates as a training organization and our facilities at Castlewarren Safety Centre underwent an extensive and successful audit by an IFE appointed auditor.

"An IFE Accredited Course is any course that has been assessed by the Institution of Fire Engineers as equivalent to the Institution's Examinations, in whole or part, and is of a standard and quality that is worthy of association with the Institution."

The practice has been granted equivalence to the preliminary examination of the IFE for it’s annual emergency response training programme for high hazard sites. The site specific nature of the training, with consideration of major accident scenarios and site specific infrastructure (fire main systems, building construction etc.) was fundamental to this approval

"An IFE Approved Centre is a Training Establishment or Centre that offers courses, which may or may not be equivalent to the Institution's Examinations, that are all of a standard and quality that is worthy of association with the Institution."

Cantwell Keogh and Associates are considered to be an approved centre for all fire and emergency response training, and can carry the approved centre logo on any course certifications. The practice is the only centre in Ireland and on of only 5 in Britain and Ireland to hold this distinction.

Further information on the IFE can be obtained from www.ife.org.uk
